Membership Questions
Blue Club FAQs
Answers to common questions about planned maintenance, service frequency, and our manufacturer certifications.
Planned maintenance is a flushing service we perform on your tankless unit to preserve the warranty and minimize costly, unplanned disruptions to your water service. Included is a descaling to remove any internal scale buildup, filter cleaning, and an audit of any visible signs of damage.
Manufacturers recommend preventative maintenance service every 12 to 18 months. Boilers get more use, so preventative maintenance service for boilers should happen more frequently, on an annual basis.
Recommendations for planned maintenance frequency are based on “normal” equipment usage. You can compare your usage to “normal” based on your water quality and rate of use.
Water Quality: See manufacturer guidelines for water quality standards.
Usage Rate: Typical household usage is 400 hours per year.
To earn this status, Blue Conservation technicians have completed in-depth training, including Level II Installation and Level III Service, to understand Rinnai products deeply. It also means we have high installation volume and high customer satisfaction, and we provide expert installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Rinnai’s water heaters, boilers, and heating systems.
To earn this status, our technicians have completed advanced training (Level 3) and are recognized by Navien as approved, highly knowledgeable installers and service providers for their tankless water heaters, boilers, and combi-boilers.
