Blue Conservation sets a fine standard. It’s always great to find a proper company that brings confidence in what they do. I’ll definitely use them again.”

The grown children inherited a residential property with a malfunctioning tankless water heater. The unit, less than five (5) years old, was producing inconsistent hot water and showing signs of improper installation, configuration, and servicing. The family contacted Blue Conservation for an expert evaluation and a solution.

The initial assessment revealed several installation flaws, including missing flush valves, improper steel pipe connections, and incompatible metals in the mechanical room piping. Additionally, there was no water meter present on the property—only a steel nipple between the service line and house plumbing—which required correction for both safety and billing accuracy.

Despite the manufacturer’s warranty having expired two (2) weeks earlier, the Blue Conservation technician, a certified manufacturer’s representative, worked directly with the manufacturing company to provide documentation of the condition of the equipment. Blue Conservation submitted “as-found” photos and successfully advocated for a full equipment replacement under the warranty. This saved the client the cost of a new unit and extended the original 15-year heat exchanger warranty to the new owners.

Within two (2) days of approval, the BC Technician completed the full removal and reinstallation of the new tankless water heater unit. This included:

Reconfiguring the piping in the mechanical room to meet code and manufacturer standards.

Installing flush valves and proper isolation of components for ease of maintenance.

Removing the steel nipple and preparing the site for meter installation.

Bleeding the original radiators throughout the home to ensure balanced performance.

After installation, the new homeowners were provided with a thorough walkthrough of the tankless system to explain the updated piping layout and the operation of the unit. The final install photos and documentation were submitted to the manufacturer by Blue Conservation to close the warranty case and confirm proper commissioning.

Tankless water heater case study: warranty replacement and mechanical room re-piping in Abington Township by Blue Conservation.

[5,6

post-413","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-case-studies","category-tankless-water-heaters
["GET
