Tankless Equipment- Frequently Asked Questions:

What is planned maintenance and what is included?

Planned maintenance is a flushing service we perform on your tankless unit to preserve the warranty and minimize costly, unplanned disruptions to your water service. Included is a descaling to remove any internal scale build-up, filter cleaning, and an audit of any visible signs of damage.

How often does my unit need Planned Maintenance?

Manufacturers recommend preventative maintenance service every 12 to 18 months. Boilers get more use, so preventative maintenance service for boilers should happen, more frequently on an annual basis.

Recommendations for planned maintenance frequency are based on “normal” equipment usage. You can compare your usage to “normal”  based on your water quality and rate of use.
Water Quality: See manufacturer guidelines for water quality standards
Usage Rate: Typical household usage is 400 hours per year.
